Cody drives up front today

We had to move a bunch of appliances today, so we went off to Home Depot, rented a truck and then with Damith's help moved a couple of fridges, dishwasher and an oven.

Cody enjoyed riding up front, but got a little nervous when I was braking.

Ready to load up the truck

Happy New Year 2015

Happy New Year from the Millsers

We had opted for a quiet affair to welcome the New Year this year. We went to get some Indian food with the kids. After that, i went to Halden's house for a quick gathering. Tyler, surprisingly, wanted to come with me. He had brought down the average age for the room but quite a big number!!!

Tyler spend most of his time at Halden's house chatting with Halden and swinging on his living room swing!!

We left after a couple of hours to make it home by midnight to bring in the New Year with Alan and Cody. The kids were pretty tired but managed to hold on till 12 o'clock.

We watched the ball fall and toasted the New Year with coke and fanta! I'm sure all of us were thinking "when can i go to bed?"!!!

Toast to welcome 2015

And here's the living room swing that Tyler was preoccupied with:

First Ski outing for 2015 season

Tyler and I decided to finally do our first ski outing for the season. Due to a late start, we went to Eldora. It had been snowing for days, so Eldora had plenty of snow.

But we found the runs to be quite short and it was snowing that day. So, after about 2 hours, we called it quits and went to get some yummy German food to feed our hungry stomachs(OK, my hungry stomach!)

Tyler still remembers how to ski though i think he needs some work on his technique. I'm becoming more conservative in my old age so, i'm sure Tyler is going to find me a boring skiing partner very soon!!

Ox tail soup.. mmmmm

Tyler still remembers his love for schnitzel

Snow Fort

One of the product of all the snow we got - a snow fort! Not sure who built it..

Cody learns to ski in our neighborhood slope

One of the things the kids did for New Years was going skiing. However, we didn't have to go anywhere for that. Alan thought that the neighborhood slope is good enough! It may look a little familiar as it's where the kids go sledding!!

So, he dragged 2 kids up the slopes multiple times!!

Here's our Cody... (Tyler already knows how to ski on real ski slopes!)

Our little Cutie

Looking all confident.. but he really was scared to death!

There he goes!!

Tyler's Wish list to Santa

Apparently Tyler and his classmates wrote their own Santa Wish List at school. His list is kinda simple, which really brings out his innocence.

Sledding fun

We got quite a snow dump on Christmas Day. And on the weekend, when i felt a little better, i took the boys for some sledding!!

Cody was initially not willing to ride on his own but toward the end decided that he would after all! Yay!!

Jude our neighbor kid also tagged along for some rough tumble fun!!

Tyler is a pro by now

Making snow balls

Colorado snow is very dry and it's often hard to make a snow ball. But our fabulous Auntie Diana gave the boys some snowball maker a few years ago and it's finally being used!

After sledding, the boys got home and started making some snow balls and i encouraged them to do a snow ball fight(like proper boys!!).

Tyler churning them out

Quite a pile

Slowly and Gently does it

Here are some videos of the fights ensued and how they were made:

The Real fight starts.. and ends..

And of course.. this was going to happen..

Tyler is a Lego master?

Tyler got a giant 940 piece Lego set from Santa and the Grand Parents, so on his last day before going back to school he set about making the spaceship from the Lego Movie.

He did a great job, it did take us nearly 4 hours to get it done, with just a few mistakes to rectify along the way.  Now we just have to find somewhere to put it.

Now that is a pretty big lego set

7 bags of Lego to build

Finished at last
