Tyler makes his TV debut

Fresh from his Friday morning stage debut performing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and We Rock, Tyler was spotted making his TV debut at Glorietta Mall.

It wasn't the most riveting of performances, but at least we can say Tyler has been on TV !!

Big Shoes to Fill

Cody and Tyler have both learnt how to put on shoes, take off shoes and more importantly put them away in the cupboard. For the last month or so Cody has shown a lot of interest in wearing Daddy's slippers. He puts them on and clacks around on the wooden floor. Sometimes he even gets them on the correct feet.

Here is a shot of Cody with Daddy's slippers and Tyler on the twisty car (a Cody Favorite)

When I'm Cleaning Windows

Living in high rise building situated in the heart of the city means that the windows get cleaned a lot. Every few weeks the building sends out two guys in a big bucket to clean windows. It always reminds me of an old song called When I'm Cleaning Windows.

Tyler and Cody alway seem to enjoy it when the men are outside cleaning the windows and want to go and see the action close up.

Another year older, not sure wiser !!

Thursday March 10th was a big day in the Mills household. Alan celebrated his 45th birthday in grand style with Cake, Coke, Children and Chicks...

After our meal in a fancy restaurant we came home to two children who had been fed and were eager to open presents and blow out candles.

Here are a few pictures of the celebration..

This was the third time of lighting the cake and blowing out the candles. Tyler always get to blow out the candles when we go to a restaurant, so if he sees a candle now he blows it out..

Sealed with a kiss Hard to tell in this picture if Siew Gin is afraid or not !!

Tyler and Daddy practicing Crazy Asian. Cody not so sure what is going on

Alan Birthday Lunch

Siew Gin took me to lunch at a fancy restaurant for my birthday. We managed to leave the kids at home and dressed up to go to the Mandarin Oriental hotel.

As my friend often jokes, the hotel has a faded opulence, only trouble the fading started in 1920..

The restaurant itself was very good and the business lunch good value. Siew Gin insisted on extra, extra, extra oysters from the buffet. Alan stuck to the extra, extra, extra ham..

Thanks Siew Gin for a great birthday

Here we are enjoyed our main course

Bon Odori

Catching Fish, A live performance from the Wonder Girls, Japanese fireworks, a great way to spend a Saturday night.

Manila has a lot of international schools, and last Saturday we went to the Manila Japanese School to celebrate Bon Odori

Amongst the dancing around a big drum, there were lots of food stalls (for Siew Gin), and places to catch fish (for the Kids, well okay for Siew Gin) and live performances from the school kids

The event finished with a pretty good firework show, which probably explains why the school fees are so high !!

Here are a few snapshots
