Grandma and Grandad visit

Grandma and Grandad came over for Christmas to help look after the boys while Siew Gin was away.  Grandma spent most of her time coughing and being generally sick so we didn't get to do much this time.  They did get to see some snow, take a few trips out and take in a Nuggets game.

Alan meets his 2018 New Year Resolution goals

I set a few goals this year.

1. To reach my college weight - Achieved August 12 2018
2. Run a 1,000 miles - Achieved November 4th 2018
3. Run every day for a year - Achieved December 31 2018
4. Give up coke for a year - Achieved December 31 2018
5. Give up crisps/Chips for a year - Achieved December 31 2018
6. Give up Chocolate (Candy bars) for a year - Achieved December 31 2018.

Of these I would say the hardest one was to not have chips for a year.  As this is part of my staple diet to give them up was hard!

I am not sure what challenge I will set for 2019. but probably I won't have 6 goals!

An lot less running in the last 6 months of the year!

Happy New Year 2019

The boys managed to stay awake by watching countless episodes of the Simpsons before we switched over to regular TV to watch the ball drop.  I was able to take my first drink of Coke and first bag of chips for a year and Evelyn and Patrick stayed awake just long enough to join in the celebration.  Siew Gin joined us from Malaysia having already celebrated earlier.

Happy New Year
