Early morning run, paced by Tyler

Tyler was awake early today, so I invited him to come along and ride his bike while I did my early morning run.

We did a local loop and he was tired at the end of it, not of course as tired as I was..

International Pirate Day

Our local Krispy Kreme supports International Pirate Day by giving away free donuts if you dress as a pirate.  Luckily for us we have a lot of costumes from Halloween and Tyler's school is next door to the store, so on our way home we managed to get 14 free donuts.

Ready to get our donuts

Tyler completes a long bike ride

Now that Tyler has his new bike, he wanted me to take him on a long bike ride.  As Cody had a playdate this morning we had a couple of hours to get a ride in, and so we set off to bike to Westminster Rec Center.

We did most of the journey on the big dry creek trail, and Tyler was pretty strong up until the last couple of miles, and celebrated with his victory coke.  Now of course he wants to go on an even longer ride.

The birds and the bees

I'm not sure how long my kids' innocence will last, but here's a conversation we had

We were looking at a picture of Tyler as a bear when he was 1 yr old:

Me : That's a cute picture of Tyler
Cody : Was i born yet?
Me : No..
Cody : Oh.. was i still being made?
Me : Yeah. You were still being made..
Tyler : Did i help make him?
Me : Hmmm.. No you didn't..
Cody : Of course you didn't help make me.. you were still a baby!!!

Then.. it evolved to:
Cody : When i was in mommy's tummy, i was upside down. no.. i was stuck, so the doctor had to cut mummy's belly and get me out. Tyler.. you were pee'ed out!
Tyler : Yeap.. i was pee'ed out!

And he seemed perfectly fine with that idea! ha!

Share a coke with Cody

Coke is doing a promo where they have put popular names on Coke bottles.  I spotted this one today for Cody, and he was very happy to share a victory coke.

We are still looking for Tyler's bottle.

Do I have to share?
