Putt Putt with the Gang

It's been a while since we've been to Putt Putt and Sabrina and Damith got the group together after it was dark(it's cooler!) for a putt putt challenge.

As it was Tyler's first time, he was thrilled to get his own putter and ball! Only problem was he thought he was being helpful when he chases down someone else's ball and gave it back to the owner!!!

He also found the fake planes, moving statues, exploding volcanoes extremely fascinating.

Tyler walking around with his putter

Ooh, look mom, i picked up your ball.. it nearly went into the hole!!

The usual gang..

At the end of 18 holes, Alan and Damith managed to tie. What are the odds? But the miracle of the night was my 2 hole-in-ones!!! :)

Lyons 5k River Run

I was all set for a good time for the 5k, but a few days earlier I had managed to twist my ankle quite badly climbing Royal Arch. It was a race day decision if I was going to to run, but in the end I strapped the ankle and did run.

Steffen, Damith and Sabrina also ran, and this made for a fun outing to Lyons.

By some fluke I managed to run exactly the same time as the previous year, and finished almost exactly the same position. Will have to run a few more 5k's this year to improve my time

Swimming with Mateo

Veronica and Mateo invited us to join them at their nice outdoor pool at their club house, and after a lovely breakfast, we were there.

Tyler surprisingly took the water quite easily though he remained skeptical about the splashing water feature. Maybe a few more times..

Why don't we check out the other area?

Tyler and Mateo with their mommies..

I'm not sure about this splashy thing.. brrrrrr....

I'm going after the big ball...

We all had a great time. However, as usual, my first exposure to the sun for the summer always end up with a sunburn. And I have a maroon red back to show for it! Ouch!!!!

Sunrise Stampede 10K

The Sunrise Stampede 10K race is usually a few weeks after Bolder Boulder. This is a much smaller race than BB 450 people as opposed to 55,000 but is a nice course.

The day was very hot and there were a few hills but I managed to complete the course a minute quicker than BB.

This will be my last 10K for a few months, as I will switch to 5K races and hiking for the summer. Next race is Lyons river race

Tyler enjoys the petting zoo at Daycare

When Tyler arrived at daycare today a petting zoo was being setup, so he would have a chance to interact with a few zoo animals. Daddy has his camera with him to take pictures.

He is quite a scaredy cat and took a look of encouraging to get close to the animals, but eventually he did get around to interacting with them all, his favorites were the rabbits and the ducks..
