Tyler and Cody help with the leaves

Tyler and Cody helped me clear up the leaves, which basically consisted of them running and jumping into the big pile of leaves, then trying to fill the gutter with as many leaves as possible.

Cody was quite the jumper, perhaps he is more athletic than we thought?

Circus Time

Ringling Bros were in town again and we thought it's time we made another visit to the circus. Alan managed to get us some seats near the front at the last minute we were off to the circus with the Heides and Contos.

It was the Dragons tour that were in town this year and we thought last year's tour of the Fully Charged was much better. Nevertheless, the kids enjoyed watching the animals and the adults got quite excited about the motorbike in the globe cage!!!

We also found out that the space in front of the stage is not the best of place to sit!!!

Tyler upgrades to face painting from arm painting

Tyler normally gets his arm or hand painted when we go to the clubhouse for 'free hotdogs for the kids', but this week he decided to go all out and get his face painted by Leah from facefiesta.

Cody clears up the leaves

Cody is the latest in the long line of Mills boys to clean up the leaves at the Millser household.  After a visit to the park to ride his bike he volunteered to help me clean up the leaves and did a pretty good job.  He really enjoyed jumping on and in them !!

Cody Boat Project

Cody has been working on his own boat project to rival Tyler.  Tyler's project may take a year to complete, Cody's on the other hand took just a few minutes.

I thought it was too good to be true when I saw two 'wood' boats for only $16 on Amazon, and sure enough when it arrived I discovered that kid wood means 'foam' !!.

Cody on the other hand really wanted to build the boat and set forth with the screwdriver to make not just one boat but two.  

Once complete he and Tyler had great fun launching and playing with them, until they were moved to the bath to save the wood floors..

Mooncake Festival 2012

It is once again the time of the year that i get to celebrate the "chinese" in me, and personally one of my favorite festival - Mid Autumn Festival!

I usually try to drag a few people to join me for some Chinese food, have some mooncake and go for a lantern stroll. This year, i only managed to get Armen to come! :)

My sister in law had brought me some lanterns from Malaysia when she came to visit us in the Philippines and i had delicately preserved it and shipped it all the way back and used it! It's precious!!

It was a rather chilly night but not too bad and we seemed to spend most of the time relighting candles!!! Good thing we brought lots of extra!

Cody and Daddy visit the Pumpkin Farm

Cody went to the pumpkin farm today with his school, so I tagged along to get some pictures.  It was super cold having snowed a little overnight but that didn't stop most of the kids gleefully running around looking for pumpkins.

Cody took more of 'I am cold Daddy, can you carry me' approach to the activities but eventually took part and picked his own green'pumpkin'.
