A few years ago we replaced our downstairs front room with hardwood floor, and this summer we decided to work on the upstairs loft area and stairs and replace our old carpet with hardwood.
The loft area had a lot of built in shelves and cupboards and to cut down our costs, Patrick and I worked on taking everything away so the guys could come in and put the new floor down while we were away.
We spent a few days working on removal, then Evelyn worked on painting the side by the stairs as it was easier to do before the new stairs went in.
