Hiking at Eldora Canyon

It is sad to say we haven't been hiking much this summer at all. So, after being inspired by our camping trip last weekend, i decided to make use of whatever summer weather we've got to catch up with some hiking!

Alan chose Eldorado Canyon and it was a lovely hike. On the way up, we were telling the boys that we were visiting a hotel at the top of our hike and spoke of all the drinks and ice cream that they could possibly serve when we get there. So, they weren't too happy to find out the hotel had burned down 100 years ago when we got there!!

We did let them splash in the cold stream at the end of the hike for a little treat, but then they complained it was too cold!

Cody not too pleased that we "lied" to him

Old fireplace left from the fire

At the "hotel" site!

Continental Divide overlook

Beautiful view of the canyon walls

It's too cold mommy!
