New Year's Party
Apart from my exciting New Year's Eve celebration in New York City in 2000, i can't remember ever having a memorable New Year's eve. It's always low key and frankly, boring.
This year, it history threatened to repeat itself. After humming and hawwing for the longest time, i decided that, heck, I'd throw a party myself. And to help us pass time easier, i decided I'd hold New Year's Eve Murder Mystery!
A few hours of search on the internet equipped me with a good Murder Mystery kit and my party was on its way. Usually these parties take weeks to plan. I only had 2 days. So, lots of things were sorta compromised like costumes and printed-snail-mail invitations.
With Alan's help, I also transformed my house into 1920's Supper Club. It was not as good as I wanted, but good enough! Alan also made an awesome Auld Lang Syne with shooting sound track.
Alan and Tyler outside my "Ruby Room"
My sad attempt for a flapper look! :(
On New Year's eve, everybody arrived and Alan who was the moderator got the show started. The murder struck at 12(fake time) am and e were soon suspecting anybody and everybody.
Some food and some clues...
Interrogation time in the Ruby Room..
Tyler helping out with some mystery solving
It's a good thing i had Emilio as my co-investigator..
After a few hours of questioning and clues, we were soon coming up with our own ideas about the murder which we presented to Alan.

Once everybody had handed in their answers, Alan read out everybody's answer and then the real answer and the killer was handcuffed!
The Killer!!!
Everybody thought the game was kinda interesting and since nobody had done it before, all of us had ideas about making it better next time! :)
We spent the rest of the time to midnight just chit chatting and at about 12, Steffen broke open the champagne and we tuned in to Dick Clark's New Year show and cheered in the new year with champagne!!
Champagne and poppers! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year 2009
