The Andrews were nice enough to put away some time amid their very busy schedule to come spend a day with us.
We had fun exploring the sand dunes which was a blast for the kids. Tyler especially loved it!! They climbed the sand dunes quite happily without any whining!! Tyler ran down the dunes whenever he could and slid down the other times.
We were very lucky to have had explored the dunes at that time because it turned out that was a small window of good weather during our entire stay. As we were heading back, the weather started to turn and some dark clouds began to move in. We barely got into the the car and the sky just opened and poured!!! And it continued for the next 24 hrs with a few flashes of sunshine occasionally!
Since it was rainy the next morning, we played Taboo which was very entertaining and as the sun peeked out for a few minutes, we managed to rush out for a quick visit to the light house before the Andrews left us. The light house was closed for the day due to the crazy wind but we were very lucky that the light house keeper were there and felt sorry for us and snuck us in. The kids enjoyed climbing the spiral staircase all the way up and we were treated to a spectacular view.
Ok the pictures are not in order and it's too much of a pain to move them..
On our way back to the car, check out the doom and gloom clouds
