Matthew's visit to Denver

One of my long lost nephew(the last time i saw him was in 1998) is studying in Kansas and have recently gotten in touch with me. I was very touched that he wanted to come visit me. So, we arranged for a trip out here during the Thanksgiving break.

Turned out, he was quite a jolly young man. The kids instantly bonded with him and had fun with him all weekend(when he wasn't asleep!!).

It was a hectic weekend with Thanksgiving, a trip up to Rocky Mountain National Park and a ski trip to Winter Park! I think he'd had a glimpse of what life is all about with The Millsers!! :)

Here are some of the pictures.

Here's a video of one of the morning runs:

It turns out, learning to ski is easy when you're young and fit and have some roller blading background. We were on the bunny slopes for a few hours in the morning before i announced him ski-lifts-ready!!! Once he was on the slope, he was skiing like a pro!!

This was Tyler's first ski of the season and he was a little skittish. I think somebody needs a refresher course!! We were having so much fun skiing that day that we managed to ski a full day. But Tyler and Matthew looked like they were about to pass out by the time we got to the car and were both snoring before we got out of the parking lot!!!

Anyways, we enjoyed having Matthew around for a few days and hope to see him again soon!
