Xmas Tree 2013

We weren't going to be around for Xmas this year and initially we thought we'd forgo the Xmas decorations. But in the end, Alan still went down to the basement and dragged up the Xmas tree because the kids would like it. :) And it does make the house kinda cozy.

We've had our Xmas tree for many years. We think it's been 11 years. The last time we had it up(2011), some of the lights started to fail and we spent many hours looking for the failing bulb and ended with VERY sore fingers.

So, when Alan first brought up the Xmas tree, this year, it had a few strands unlit. I said, the tree has to go! But Mr DIY actually used one of the christmas lights fixer thingie that i bought for him since the last saga and got all the lights to work! I guess the tree will stay for a few more years.. :)

The kids were excited to have the tree up and were happy to help hang the Xmas decorations. With my not so subtle urging, they managed to hang the ornaments all over the tree instead of concentrated in one area!

As i mentioned, everything they do is helmet worthy!

Good team work going on here
