England Trip - Visit the Queen in London(but she was not home)

On our final two days in England, we spent it exploring London. The kids probably couldn't be bothered with the sights but were very excited to go on the public transportation - bus, boat(double decker) and trains(the tube).

Evelyn had booked us a really nice hotel very close to all the sights which was mighty convenient and by some cunning way, she even got her hotel room refunded(what clever in laws i've got!!).

We spent nearly a whole day exploring the London Tower(first time for me too!) and the rest of the time visiting all the other touristy sights like Buckingham Palace, the Parliament House, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square etc. We even managed to go to Chinatown for a Malaysian meal and on our last night there, Alan and I got away for a quick date night and had yummy tapas!

It was a fun way to end our trip and the kids had a really greatest time with grandma and grandad and got to know their cousins. I think the purpose of the trip has been achieved! The bonus is my mother in law still talks to me, so i say that's a successful trip! :)

A giant thank you to Evelyn and Patrick for giving us such a nice holiday and putting up with the crazy grand kids, the grumpy son and the most demanding daughter in law!!!!

First day we got to London, getting acquainted with our surroundings
