Xmas Tree down

About 12 days after Christmas, our real Christmas tree was looking a little droopy because i wasn't really keeping up with the water after the first week. It didn't finish its water anyways!!

So, since it was beautiful day, we decided to take the morning to take down the Xmas decorations and besides, the tree has to go by the 12th day after Christmas!!!

It's been fun having the real Christmas tree though to me, it just looks like a bad fake tree!! ha! But the kids enjoyed the experience i think and so did I! And maintaining it wasn't as bad as people say nor are the pine needles when it came to cleaning.

Alan found a good way to get rid of the tree, which was to chop it all up and put it in the trash! Quite clever!! And after the tree was put away, Alan got on with taking down the rest of the Christmas lights while i put always all the Christmas ornaments.

Tyler who is particularly helpful with stuff around the house had fun helping me find the boxes for some of the ornaments and it sure is useful to have a child who can read!! After that he was helping Alan carry the boxes for all the outdoor decorations. I know all these helpfulness might not be permanent, so i thought i'd mention it in my blog! :)

Bye tree!!!

Why didn't you recycle it?
I know in our area the local boy scouts come and pick up real Christmas trees for recycling!
