Alan picked Rioja as our restaurant of choice. And after feeding the kids and giving Bella instructions like what time to put the kids to sleep, we were off!
Rioja turned out to be fantastic!!! It's not often i get too impressed with any restaurants anymore. Alan had ordered some lamb and i had some black ink squid farfalle(OMG!). I'm still thinking about it... mmmm... Oooh, i also ordered some dungeness crab which came out kinda weird. Not bad.. just not what i expected. Dessert was also interesting as we didn't even know what it was and didn't know what to expect.
This is what i expect from a trendy restaurant these days.. different AND good!
Apart from food, it was also nice for Alan and I to enjoy something we like to do which is to try new restaurants and some personal time to just chit chat and make fun of people! :)
