Bees comes to stay again..

Our front pillar is quite a wildlife refuge. Every year the woodpecker and bees would try to move in and every year we have to spend money to have them removed.

And while we were doing some yard work, we heard some familiar buzzing sound and a quick look confirmed that the bees were back. It took the scouting bees a few days to scope it out and didn't take long for the rest of the colony to move in.

It was a good thing i remembered that one of our badminton members was a bee keeper and he was happy to take the bees off our hands! He came by to check it out and came back the next day to vacuum it up. The whole process was of course very exciting to the kids.

As of when this post was written, the bees were doing well. Maybe we'll get a jar of honey from them. And when the hives were removed from our pillars, we got to dip our fingers into the hive and tried some honey.. Nice and fresh!! Tyler was quite happy to try it but not Cody!

Cannot believe how many bees you had it was lucky that you had someone to take them away.
