Balloons Festival in Erie

Last year for Father's Day we took the boys to see some balloon launching and they sorta enjoyed it. And we saw that Erie was having a Balloon festival. We tried to invite a few more people but most people were turned off by the 6 am wake up requirement! ha!

So, we woke up on Saturday bright and early and when we got there, it was postponed due to bad weather(like it wasn't obvious!). We were all disappointed but told ourselves that we'll have to try again the next day. And again, we woke up bright and early on Sunday and the balloons indeed did not disappoint.

We were all very impressed with the number of balloons that went up and the boys got to see them get inflated and heated up and lifted to the sky.

I was fairly impressed with the scene and vowed to get better at photography before we make our trip down to Albuquerque to watch hundreds of these color the sky.
