I thought i'd write this down so i remember this. So, Tyler's been attending his new school where they learn Chinese and Spanish, which i've never seen any sign of it yet.
So, yesterday while we were talking during dinner time, i asked him what he did in his Chinese class. I usually get the usual "i don't know" answer. But yesterday, this is what he said:
Me : What did you do in your Chinese class today?
Tyler : I just played the card games, mommy..
Me : What card games (i'm thinking, they teach them gambling??)?
Tyler : The game where you say the colors and you get the cards!!!
Me : You say it in Chinese??
Tyler : Yeah!!
Me : (so, i pointed to a green color). What is this..?
Tyler : Lu se!!!
Me : (i nearly cried).. you're right!!
And of course, i had to test him 5 different colors before i was convinced he did know some colors in Chinese!!! So, yay!!!
He apparently also can count to ten when he plays the "castle" game(in chinese of course!)
We still haven't seen any sign of spanish yet. Though he was able to read all the spanish words on his sheet. Not bad i thought!
