Tyler and his Eagle award

Tyler's Kumon center had an award day and we were told to show up as he was eligible for an award. So, to prep him up, I've been getting him all excited about his trophy and was telling him that he needs to go when they call his name, shake the person's hand, say thank you etc.

So, when we got there, he got a little clingy and stroppy. I was like uh-oh.. but we left him with all the other students while Cody and I sat a few rows in the back.

The award service started and lo and behold, when they called Tyler's name, he sat up, got down from his chair, walked up and got his award! I was so proud! :D

So what exactly he got his award for? He got an award for being able to read 2 years above his grade level and he was also the youngest student to achieve that level at that center! He has just started on his math so, hopefully next year, he will qualify for some award for that too! :)

Cody was a good little supporter.. he said he will clap and call Tyler's name(he forgot)
